We are excited to now be able to bring our customers a select range of Wagyu at affordable pricing.
High-quality subcutaneous Wagyu fat rendered down to a jar of pure Wagyu tallow. High in oleic acid and monosaturated fats, packed full of Omega 3 & 6. The perfect substitute for olive oil or butter. Use it to grease your pan before frying up eggs to accompany your ultimate Wagyu breakfast. Tallow will add a different dimension to any steak you cook it with and help activate its richness and natural flavor. It can also be spread over bread or melted over chips & popcorn.
What is Wagyu?
This is a Japanese beef cattle breed, ‘Wa’ means Japanese & ‘Gyu’ means cow.
The unique taste and tenderness of highly marbled Wagyu beef makes for an unrivalled eating experience. That is why Wagyu beef is finding its way into the repertoires of Gourmet cooks and fine restaurants worldwide.
All of our Wagyu cattle are certified and registered with the Wagyu Society of South Africa. Originating from Japan, Wagyu is known for its superior marbling, which are the fine veins of fat in the meat. This fat is high in Omega 3 and Omega 6, and is considered a healthy fat. The result is a very smooth, and buttery taste which is unique to Wagyu. Our marbling is consistently around a 5-6 count out of 11. We do produce Wagyu with higher marbling counts.
